Description
Art, like science, is an experimental field of knowledge. Be it technical solutions in both fields, be it mutual influences or assistance in thinking, art and science have always had a close relationship. Defining the boundaries is futile, but recognising and analysing cross-fertilisation will be the subject of this proseminar. Starting with exponents of contemporary art such as Matthew Barney or Lu Yang, the search for truth will also be traced and demonstrated in past centuries.
Examination Modalities
Attendance, discussion, reflection, and a presentation leading to a written proseminar paper are conditions for a positive grade.
Comments
This seminar will be held in German, although the presentation can be performed in English as well.
