The aim of the LV is to provide PhD candidates with knowledge of the field in terms of theoretical background as well as practices, in order to enable them in their respective work processes and careers. The PhD candidates will gain an overview of the history and potential of artistic research and related methods, read and discuss papers (see reading list, pdfs available via base), exhibitions, and artistic research projects, as well as put their own practice in relation to the matters discussed in the LV, and exchange with invited guests.
Like all of their courses, the LV will be team-taught by Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grond.

In addition to attending (minimum requirement 2/3 of the course), discussing and exchanging about the proposed topics, a short paper and conversation will be required.
