Description

Contributions To A Universal Memorybank
Performance as transformation of experience

Our APL studio is the base and action space from which individual ideas and concepts are developed and discussed in the group.

Somatic practices prepare us together to activate other modes of perception.

In addition, the reference to concrete spatial conditions plays an essential role, whereby space is examined in terms of architecture, its history, its social, psychological, poetic and political meaning, etc.

Events are Points in Spacetime

All in all, we will have the opportunity to make first or further practical experiences with performance, using the technical possibilities of the studio - sound, light, projection, etc. - are at our disposal. At the same time, aspects that are relevant beyond the realm of performative practice will also be considered.

The aim is to provide the opportunity to develop initial or conceptual designs. Overall, the aim is to give students the opportunity to make their first or further practical experiences with performance. At the same time, aspects that are relevant beyond the field of performative practice are also considered.

Examination Modalities

Active participation in the course, discussions and feedback sessions.

Submission of a written concept incl. visualisation at the end of the semester.

Comments

In the course of the seminar there is the opportunity to make first or further practical experiences with performance.

Rehearsal processes are also important spaces of experience that are given a lot of space in the seminar.

The possibilities of realising and performing performative works at the end of the semester are also discussed together against the background of the current situation. In the winter semester 2023/24, again cooperations with external institutions are being planned - more information on this during the course.

Access to the seminar only for students of the Applied Arts!
