Description

What can you do with π•Ώ Κ πŸ…Ώ πŽ Ⓡ α—© 𝙿 π‡ π• ?

And which typeface do you use when? How can you use individual letters, words and sentences to make them more exciting, readable or interesting? How do you use the character of a typeface, but also color and arrangement to reinforce a statement? What design options exist to make a long text more attractive? What should one avoid when dealing with typefaces? We work on questions like these in the lecture.

The focus is on macro typography, design and arrangement with type, dealing with hierarchies and how to guide the reader, but also some basic knowledge of type (depending on the previous knowledge of the group) and lettering (no calligraphy).

The students have the opportunity to learn typographical and design knowledge through exercises and small projects.

Examination Modalities

Presence for an assessment is required. Projects and short exercises are evaluated at the end of the semester. Blocked lecture.
