The essence, the spirit of Ingeborg Bachmann should be invoked, summoned, recognized, understood, caught.

Access to the spirit of Bachmann should be found by working out a joint text – through the study, under- or overwriting of Bachmann poems.                                                                                      How much do we butter into the myth of a writer?                                                                                      How much Bachmann is in Bachmann's former drinking glass?                                                    How much Bachmann is still in her underwear?                                                                                            How much Bachmann is in you?

On the 50th anniversary of the death of the master of the Austrian language-soul (does Austria have such a soul?), we try to approach it in an extended way (ritually). We look for the places of her being and look for ways of thinking and language at the same time. That can be horror too.

This should result in: a final performance in which all course participants are involved and which will be recorded. The performance parts (version, music, etc.) are worked on over the course of the semester.
