Two-day interview workshop with documentary film director Ulli Gladik.    How to prepare an interview? How to build trust in order to obtain open, personal and exciting statements? How to avoid social desirability in the answers? How to portray a public place?  After a short theoretical, technical and practical input, we will interview passers-by at a public place in Vienna.  In group work we will sift and edit the material in order to learn from it and to check its applicability before going back into the field on the second day.  The result will be small film portraits of the visited place and its people, which the students will complete after the workshop.  Since the interviews will be conducted in Vienna, knowledge of German is an advantage.  https://www.austrianfilms.com/director/ulrike_gladik
