Beschreibung

MA CDCLab is a collaborative course where students apply content and strategies from their lectures in cross-disciplinary projects, working largely independently and in small groups. You receive support and training in written expression, technical, artistic and practical implementation. Throughout the semester, workshops, cooperations and presentations take place, discussing cross-disciplinary connections in project work.

WASTELAND

What happens to the waste we produce at Angewandte? With the claim “We Apply Future”, Angewandte makes a bold statement. What is the application in our daily waste life? What waste is produced in Angewandte? And what way will a Jogurtbecher, a piece of paper, or the painting department's old paint take in our premises?

We will start by gaining system knowledge about the waste management system at Angewandte and the connections to the waste industry and its legislation. We will together make a stakeholder analysis and, from there, develop our next steps in student working groups, conduct waste observation walks, and conduct quantitative and qualitative research.

In readings, excursions and with input from guest lecturers, we will learn about best practices, recycling, upcycling and the circular economy.
