electronic sound basics 2 - hands on

This course aims at creating a basic understanding of the physical nature of sound and hearing in general as well as of audio recording and re/production by electronic means.

Contents of the practical course will be oriented along students demands and can include:
Analog Electronics / Synthesizers; Soldering, graphical music-oriented Programming languages like Max/MSP or PureData; Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs like Ableton live and Reaper); Mixing Consoles; Sound Systems (PAs); Recording and Resampling; DJing; Audio-Visualization, etc

Taking part in the course regularly

The course will be held in german and english as demand applies.

Although it's recommended to take both courses, the theoretical as well as the practical, it's fully possible to go for one of them only.

While the first half of the semester will be focused on theory, skill-building and idea-gathering, the second half will will be centered on production and aim towards a presentation/performance at the closing exhibition of Georg Sturmlechners silkscreening course:
