Description
What becomes visible – Effects of communication methods • Design methods are used consciously to give people a certain picture of the world and to influence their options for action. Which methods of manipulating worldviews have already been developed? What role do aspects of content, form and media technology play? How has this changed over the course of history? How are the current developments to be assessed?
In the seminar we will use theoretical considerations and practical exercises to try to develop our own position on propagandistic initiatives.

Examination Modalities
Presence and active participation in the courses is necessary for a positive degree. Extensive documents are made available to the students before the individual dates so that intensive discussions are possible.
Comments
We deal with four central questions:
1. What shows up and becomes perceptible?
2. Why does it show up?
3. What does what shows up do?
4. What would change if it showed up differently?
