Part II
In my lecture aesthetic phenomena in graphic design of the 20th century are examined in their historical and design historical contexts. Thereby the societal foundations of the essential design movements and their interdependencies become visible.
The saying “Design is Weltanschauung” is scrutinized. The profound knowledge of our roots enables our development as designers.
The lecture will be held in German, your contributions can be in English as well.

A short lecture/presentation is to be held by the students online during the lecture and a written essay about your topic has to be submitted as PDF, online attendance of the lecture during the semester is mandatory.
The topic of presentation will be determined during the first lecture.
