Description

Climate Society_Next City - discussing multiple urban futures

Against the backdrop of climate change and the confluence of related global challenges we will have to rethink future urban development in social, cultural, economic and environmental dimensions. Based on the assumption that we will not be able to meet the goals set by the Paris agreement we will develop and discuss strategies of climate change adaptation. The program will focus on Vienna as a role model to understand how global challenges will have an impact on the future urban development - from innovative solutions to entirely new urban formations.

Research by Design: Special Topics in Architecture focuses on the theoretical and practical implementation of interdisciplinary research strategies into the design process.
