Description

Under the topic of Smart Aesthetics the students will develop low-threshold concepts that combine textile and technical work and can be implemented in school with simple tools.

In parallel, 4.0. technologies such as 3D printing, 3D scans and smart textiles will be presented. Smart textiles and their importance for future applications in the various fields will be discussed in more detail. Using the design thinking method, teaching units/workshop concepts will be developed and their prototypes tested.

active participation 25%

Seminar paper 35%:
To the extent of 20,000 characters without spaces. Table of contents and bibliography do NOT count towards the specified strokes, nor do class worksheets; these belong in the appendix.

Bachelor thesis:
At least 40,000 characters without spaces, if a FFTM seminar has already been successfully attended. For the bachelor thesis the practical testing of a concept is required. It is important here that the project is described from the perspective of a design didactics!

Students are required to document and present their own research and the process leading up to the mediation concept.

The seminar paper is to be submitted by mail by 31.01.2023 / 28.2.2023 / 31.3.2023 at the latest.

Comments

Objectives of the course:

Overview of smart textiles and their field of application, as well as knowledge of a low-threshold mediation for the field of application of secondary education. Furthermore, product development methods such as design thinking are to be taught. Through the introduction to 4.0 technologies, the links of the handicraft lessons to future-oriented technologies are to be ensured.
