Basics of patternmaking and patterncutting
Basic pattern blocks (skirt, culottes, trousers, basic bodice, dress, shirt, sleeves ...)
Patterndevelopements and alternations of existing block patterns
Actual cuts/ References from Fashion Industry
Perfect patterns useable as communication medium and working tool
Visibility of patterncutting as the link between design and realization
To learn how to transform a technical sketch into a pattern and from 2D to 3D.
This lecture is the compulsory base for Schnitttechnik – Basic 2
Personal presence is required and exercises and homeworks have to be handed in at the announced dates.
Due to CoViD-19-measurements, the lectures and hand-ins will be analog or digital (via mail or own-cloud). You will be informed realtime.
On top, a clear portfolio must be made in the form of a folder and handed in at the end of the lecture.
Course with continous assessment.
