What is public space? What are works of art, art projects and interventions in public space? How and by whom are they perceived? What should be considered when producing art in public space? How is it financed? Who takes care of the preservation?

In addition to theoretically oriented lectures on art in public space and art in buildings, I will talk about my personal experiences and visit art in public space projects in Vienna with the students. These excursions offer the opportunity to see and experience the impact of the works of art in their surroundings. In addition, artists are invited to speak about their work in public space on site in order to enable a dialogue with the students.
