Description
Using examples of recent artistic practices in, about, and with stone, we will look at and discuss theoretical and production aspects of stone as a material in the visual arts.
Ideas for your own work may also be developed and discussed during the course of the semester.
A practical exercise lasting several days is planned for the summer semester, during which basic knowledge of stone working will be taught and work can be done in stone.
Examination Modalities
50% attendance and one paper are required for an assessment.

The course starts on Wednesday, October 12th and takes place weekly from 11:00 - 12:30 at the seminar room at Paulusplatz, unless otherwise announced.
