Applied dyeing and finishing techniques on textile raw materials and products, dyeing
with natural fabrics/ natural dyeing, costume painting and costume editing:

In the Department of Textile Technology – Dyeing – a wide variety of dyeing
processes can be used in practice under professional guidance. This refers to a wide
variety of reservation techniques (batik and others), gradient dyes, multi-color effects,
partial staining up to fabric painting, surface treatment, patination and refinement of
fabrics. In some cases, technologies from printing, painting and dyeing blend
together.

In collegial individual supervision combined with professional help in theory and
practice, students can realize their coloristic ideas and artistic concepts.

In addition, this academic year puts an emphasis on costume painting and costume
processing like painting, processing and patinating using a wide variety of materials
and surfaces with a wide range of colorants – from shoes to headgear and
accessories.

Appointments on costume painting topics are arranged individually depending on the
interests of the students.

The artistic implementation of design concepts after prior examination of the existing
technical possibilities as well as the commitment in the implementation and the oral
presentation of the entire project will be evaluated.

academic year (except VL-free times) at the Department of Textile Technology,

(draft) and the necessary material must be brought along. Venue: Salzgries 14,
ground floor, every Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 during the semester.
