Description

Is Artificial Intelligence one or 'the' solution for museums? The seminar will show how different museum types and research teams approach the topic of AI in museums, which strategies they try out and integrate for their workflow, as well as how they initiate and inspire research projects. Insights will be offered into who is involved in such projects from the different disciplines by introducing international case studies of collaborative work. Experts will present their projects, which will illustrate the needs, necessities and individual characteristics that come into play when dealing with AI in museums.

Examination Modalities

The students will work on the topic via tasks, relevant literature and existing projects, and elaborate own ideas that will be discussed in written and oral presentations during the sessions of the seminar. These and a final project lead to the attainment of ECTS.

Each* student* will deliver two research posters on the topic related to different world regions as a final project. Deadline submission: February 22, 2023
