Introduction to researching and developing artistic grammars for creating immersive VR environments in the medium of fulldome.

In this seminar the focus is on different methods and strategies of artistic research, here the emphasis is put on the medium fulldome.

With the help of practical tasks and exercises, the basic techniques and content-related application examples will be explained and discussed together.
In addition, a basic technical and content-related introduction to the lab will take place in the seminar, in which the various formats (image and sound) and the technological production platform of the lab will be presented.

The goal is to artistically explore the visual parameters of 360-degree projection environments, using specific technologies and the integration of special software.

In the course of the seminar, participants will be able to consider and reflect on their own work from the "perspective of artistic research". With the understanding that the moving image and its perception within a 360-degree projection environment is subject to other construction parameters than the "usual" rectangular bid format we are used to, the perception of time, space, movement and action will be examined for its immersive qualities.
