2022W, artistic Seminar (SEK), 4.0 ECTS, 4.0 semester hours, course number S04103

Description

together with Barbis Ruder

LET'S COME TOGETHER AND WAKE UP OUR BODIES AND MINDS

The newly adapted APL studio is the base and action space from which individual ideas and concepts are developed and discussed in the group.

Somatic practices accompany the individual meetings and prepare us together to activate other modes of perception.

In addition, the reference to concrete spatial conditions plays an essential role, whereby space is examined in terms of architecture, its history, its social, psychological, poetic and political meaning, etc.

The aim is to provide the opportunity to develop initial or conceptual designs. Overall, the aim is to give students the opportunity to make their first or further practical experiences with performance. At the same time, aspects that are relevant beyond the field of performative practice are also considered.

In the additional module Beyond Performance, art students meet administrative staff.
In workshop units, they explore the question: what can we learn with and from each other, how can we get into contact and learn to understand each other?
The students are asked to use performative role-play formats to encourage staff to work and act performatively. Art students learn to communicate their own work.
Employees can immerse themselves live in the work, try it out and develop a new ease and understanding of artistic work, as well as communicate the relevance of their own work.
This exchange leads to a transfer of knowledge and artistic development ideas that go beyond the purely performative or have the performative element at their core.
Exercises in courage, confidence, trust and playful openness emerge.
