Architecture, Architectural Design 3
2022W, scientific seminar (SEW), 3.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S03943
The course aims at students interested in the acoustic impact and auditory perception of the built and unbuilt environment. It provides knowledge of sound generation and sound propagation fundamentals and enables one to understand and influence the possible auditory effects at an early design phase. Additional topics include the consequence of sound on humans over potential noise reduction strategies, focusing on acoustic materials (sound absorption properties and other relevant parameters) and their application.
Sound Analysis / Presentation
The language of instruction will be English
