Description:

The course is aimed at the first year of the Department of Photography I Fine Arts. Successful completion of the course is required in order to use the equipment and studios of the Department of Photography I Visual Arts independently.

The following aspects will be covered in a condensed form:

Types of light and illumination (continuous light & flash), handling of the equipment., Exposure metering & exposure (continuous light & flash), Studio technique (use and handling of auxiliary equipment such as tripods, brighteners, etc.), Photography of two- and three-dimensional objects as well as various other exercises.

The number of participants is limited to eight (8).

The course is primarily intended for students of the Photography I Visual Arts class.

For the coming semester, due to the high number of participants within the class, all places are already taken. Places may become available again for the summer semester. Inquiries can be made at any time.

Active participation and ongoing assessment of learning progress - grading is therefore only possible if 4/5 of the dates are attended. There is ongoing evaluation of understanding and knowledge during the lessons. In addition, there are 2 written exams on the topics covered.

The following order of precedence always applies to the allocation of numerically limited course places:
 1. regular students of applied sciences who require a Pflichtfach certificate.
 2. other regular students of applied sciences
 3. extraordinary students of applied sciences
 4. co-applicants from other universities The applications are ranked within the categories in the order in which they are received.
