Critical examination of ornamentation and digital textile techniques (ex.: Digital cross stitch, digital visualization of ikat fabric, OpArt patterns, kaleidoscope ornament, fashion illustration, etc.) Preparation of designs for screen printing technique. Preparation of designs for digital textile printingand wallpapers (printing at external suppliers - contactless production possible!) Implementation of several repeats in digital textile printing mandatory!

Use of artificial intelligence (AI) to design repeats and patterns

Microscopy: Use of digital microscopes to generate repeats, ornaments, patterns, etc..

Special attention will be given in this seminar to the application for own artistic practice as well as for the use of digital skills in the classroom.

Intensive seminar, attendance required.
