From the idea to the exhibition - approaches to the painted image.
The lecture gives an introduction to historical and contemporary objectives of painting and the related technical approaches. In the practical part of the course, the application of those techniques aims not only to enhance the painterly repertoire of the students, but also to reflect the possibilities of representation within the medium and their individual artistic practices. The class follows a chronological structure, taking the steps that are crucial in the creation of a painting: the first idea, approaching it by sketches, selection of a picture medium and adequate technique, as well as its completion.
The lecture will be continued in the summer semester, focusing on critique, contextualisation and presentation of paintings.

Participation in activities of the class, presentation of techniques and final results
