(cybernetics, Weizenbaum e.a.), cornerstones of digital culture are illuminated (Hofstadter, Penrose, Rheingold e.a.).
Besides the consideration of strictly formal systems (Mandelbrot e.a.), the interest is mainly directed to the social effects of technology ("net culture", "social media", Postman e.a.).
The dominant theme of "AI and creativity" is also found here.
Specific "applied" topics such as systemic ornamentation, typo, design, "generic art", spam & "computer poetry art" etc. round out the complex.
