Description

Introduction into the history and development of intaglio on 1st date.

Practical instruction to transform the idea (image) into an intaglioprint.

Impartment of basic techniques to produce printing plates .

Application of the plate in the printing process.

Print a little edition

If there is time left or for the next semester: you are very welcome to try an experimental approach , and to try a combination with other printing techniques.

aim: learning the basic intaglio techniques step by step and applying these in the practical workshop. By the end of the course you should  have understood and learnt the processes and terms of artistic intaglio printing.

Examination Modalities

 at the end of the term you should present 3 graphic works in a little edition
