Maschinentechnisches Zeichnen I

Georg Glaeser
Art and Technology, Geometry
2022W, Vorlesungen (VO), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number 2205046

Description

In this course, students will learn the most important notations and shorthand symbols.

Mechanical drawing has its own rules, which do not always coincide with the rules of Descriptive Geometry but are nevertheless well-conceived and useful.

Even in times of computer-assisted 3D rendering, mechanical drawing is nonetheless important. For one, it is only possible to read and interpret older plans and mechanical drawings if one knows the corresponding rules and conventions.

Even in this technically oriented lecture (aimed at industrial designers), there is a great deal of hand drawing -- at a later stage, CAD programs will be appropriate tools.

Examination Modalities

Written exam at the end of term.
