2022S, artistic Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S04110
The digital revolution is gradually shifting our perceptual space into a virtual one. Real actions take place more and more in the virtual and have an impact on our analogue, "bodily" space of experience.
The course deals with digital image techniques and their transfer to analogue (exhibition) spaces using examples from art and culture. The spectrum of works ranges from CGI (Computer Generated Imaging), digital photography and media installations to artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
The focus of the course this semester is on institutions that work at the interfaces of digital and analogue. Excursions to the Tanzquartier Wien, the Film Museum, the Kunstraum Niederösterreich and Artist Run Spaces are planned.
Students contribute to the discussion with topics they have researched themselves. Active participation required !
The course takes place in room 201, in the TransArts class, unless otherwise announced.
