This google maps review from the Marcus-Omofuma-Stein in Vienna, is a good example of the ambiguous relationship between a monument in public space and the privately owned digital space that surrounds it. At the same time it illustrates that artworks are not only products of given circumstances, they also contribute to the existence of these very circumstances.

Starting from this rather direct example, the lab will explore questions of representation, ownership, responsibility and its interrelations within the public/ private sphere through research and artistic productions. The lab is a space to proactively develop subjective and artistic interventions as counter positions to existing sites. The lab will move between walks, discussions, production and a final presentation.
