CONTENT

Critical examination of ornamentation and digital textile techniques (e.g.: Digital cross stitch, digital visualisation of ikat fabric, OpArt pattern, kaleidoscope ornament, fashion illustration etc.) Preparation of designs for screen printing technique. Preparation of designs for digital textile printing (printing by external providers - contactless fabric production possible!) Implementation of several repeats in digital textile printing obligatory!

Microscopy: Use of digital microscopes to generate repeats, ornaments, patterns etc..

Special attention will be paid in this seminar to the application for one's own artistic practice as well as for the use of digital skills in the classroom.

Intensive seminar, compulsory attendance

Individual continuation of the exercises and applications in connection with a self-selected topic.

Practical implementation of a pattern/ornament on fabric (screen printing or digital printing), submission end of June 2022.
