The seminar imparts expertise on the interplay of construction elements in buildings for extreme demands and strains (extreme climatic conditions, high loads, extreme position and assembly conditions, exceptional building dimensions and span of the load-bearing structure, complex shapes, special material applications, etc.) A crucial criterion for innovative building constructions is efficiency (optimal relationship between expenditure and benefit). In particular, an awareness is to be created for the interplay between the selection of material and technology and the shape of the building parts and the building as a whole.Thereby a concentrated focus will be set on  holistic sustainability.

Examination Modalities

first process of a defined case study project - the topic will be announced 

then process of a project proposal in defined areas of an existing or recent own study project

contributing in correction sessions - handing in the work as A4/ A3 print as well as digital (Pdf)

Following changes will substitute the announced exam modalities:

-- Case studies can be started according the ongoing lesson progress by now

-- correction sessions are held in the distance teaching mode

-- hand-in of case study and exam work takes place in digital format
