Performance and performative installation as an artistic strategy
In the seminar, individual drafts and concepts are developed and discussed in the group.
The reference to specific spatial conditions plays an essential role, whereby space is examined in terms of its architecture, history, its social and political significance, etc.
In the 2021 winter semester, questions about the terms border and threshold, distance, proximity and opening will be examined with regard to the relationship between performer and viewer.
Overall, the opportunity should be given to gain first or further practical experience with performance. At the same time, however, aspects are also considered that are relevant beyond the area of performative practice.
Participation in the workshop and the performance evening and submission of a written concept including visualization at the end of the semester.
