Beschreibung
This lecture is intended as an introduction for the first semester students of the Art & Science MA programme. What is experimental art-practice and how can it be employed in a fruitful way? Artists working in experimental practice take new approaches to nurturing, creating and presenting art. Such projects often explore challenging new concepts in the creation and experience of art and culture and its processes often resemble those of research and development, experimentation and creative development. In this regard the process of exploration normally is more important than a fully resolved artistic product.
Prüfungsmodalitäten
80% attendance; active collaboration in form of research and presentations, reading the literature and preparation of introductory notes, project work: exploring and re/presenting project in small groups
