When your only tool is a hammer the whole world looks like poetry

“Misappropriating a technology is the beginning of playful creativity. Tool abuse is a wonderful strategy for surprising yourself.” Fritz Ostermayer

Inspired by the above quote and based on topics and questions that have been occupying/moving you/us for a while or maybe just currently, in this explorative lab/oratorium, we use the power of spinning around, of new ideas, of experimentation, and provocation.

Regardless of technical issues, the keyword is: joy of experimentation and playfulness. It's not about the new and latest tools, but about how to use them, in our case: how to use them in a misappropriated way. We work with deficiencies, exploit their shortcomings. So let's draw from the limitations!

In this lab, with literary and otherwise (new) inventions in mind and open to everything, we will venture new perspectives / dare new ways / play with, misappropriating techniques, devices, and themes, experimenting with media forms, ideas, words, and things, if the pandemic situation allows, taking small excursions together or otherwise together:alone and making groundbreaking discoveries in the process.

Examination Modalities

Attendance & active participation - working out own drafts in form of text, drawings, sound or video works, performative-participative projects/models as well as in short in-between presentations. (
