Description

The rising request for digital skills in fashion industry is the logical consequence of the technical enrollment of programms. 

Innovative design processes and lean production demand digital data, flexible communication and global teamwork. The connection of workplaces and the data exchange are amongst many other reasons for the need of digital competences achieved during education. 

Because of Covid-19 the fashion industry was forced to find new methods of product presentation overnight.

3D-visualization was discovered as a useful tool, that supports the process from garment development to productplacement.

The programme Clo3D offers to link design, patternconstruction, "flat sketching", fashion drawing, fitting, styling and designing accessories as much as material planning. 

 

Plannend Content

  • General use of the programme and userinterface
  • Basic pattern constructions and modifications
  • Fittings - on the Avatar
  • Adjusting, developing and positioning of patterns, prints, surfaces and materials
  • 3D-Simulation of garments
  • Dataimport/ Dataexport for use with other programms (Illustrator, Photoshop, Grafis, …)
  • Developing your own Basic-Pattern Archive

 

Examination Modalities

Personal participation / presence is required.

Exercises and homeworks have to be delivered to announced dates.

Subscribe ONLINE

Maximum 8 students, Modeklasse students are ranked first (Diploma and 3rd year preferred), then internal students, then external students.

Fashionclass students must have completed the obligatory lectures in Schnitttechnik (Basic, Advanced, Analog) and Moulage.
