2021W, Projektarbeit (PA), 12.0 ECTS, 4.0 semester hours, course number S03707

Description

The course is dedicated to methodologies of sustainability and/or the sustainability of methodologies. It focusses on questions including the following:

  • What does sustainability mean in the context of cross-disciplinarity?
  • How can we learn and work in sustainable ways, not only in regard to the SDGs but also in regard to our own methods of thinking and acting?
  • How do artistic and creative strategies contribute to a sustainable working and living?

Students realize a cross-disciplinary semester project related to the semester topic "Methodologies of Sustainability".

Along this cross-disciplinary project they learn how to conceive, plan, organize, produce, and realize complex projects across and ‘between’ disciplines, societal fields, cultural understandings, and other diversities.

Part of the course is theoretical groundwork which is covered by a reading list with relevant texts on inter-, cross-, and transdisciplinarity as well as topics of sustainability and art.

The course contains three workshops on sustainable methodologies with experts from various disciplines and knowledge fields.

Course details and semester schedule are announced during first class.
