2021W, künstlerisches Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 SemStd., LV-Nr. S03662

Beschreibung

“Instagramism” as the aesthetic of the new global digital youth classes that emerge in the early 2010s [1]. The online art experiences make all kinds of artworks to be adjusted in a highly interactive process. If an artist is supposed to propose new ways of seeing and creating, it’s worrying when social media platforms feel like they’re turning us all into sycophantic clones [2]. During the course we will learn how to deal with social media as artists with and beyond their forms and capacities.

Topics:

• Different types of social media
• The 9-way-rule
• Defining topics for social media
• The perception of time in social media
• Artist vs Art
• Watching art through social media
• Defining and “measuring” art success in Social Media
• The luck and lack of Likes
• Concetration, stress and addiction in Social Media
• How to find inspiration thought direct and instant interaction with the audience
