The focus of the course is the artistic-practical work, accompanied by a reflection of the working process and concentrated exchange in the group. We will focus on possible parameters of sculptural work as well as individual approaches to the variables "space", "object" and "installation".

How can an idea become an object, what happens during the transfer into the three-dimensional, which criteria and decisions do we apply and why? Which materials can be considered, what do they tell, how do they behave and how can they be processed? How does the object present itself, how does it relate to the space that surrounds it, what sort of space does it produce itself, and what kind of structure arise with other things, objects, and viewers in the space? In which way does it address us, does it involve us and what does it communicate?

These and other questions accompany the process, which should enable all participants to develop a concrete idea for an object in the course of the semester on the basis of a theme and to try out realization steps.
Short exercises, input, reflection in the group and working together in the space open up the possibility of examining different figurations, exchanging different approaches and developing individual approaches.

At least 75% active participation.
