2021W, künstlerisches Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 SemStd., LV-Nr. S03263
The course accompanies the research and development of the final thesis.
The final thesis complements or reinforces each designer’s original design philosophy, and should demonstrate strong research practice integrating theory and the designer’s unique perspective in response.
The final thesis challenges designers to deepen their knowledge on their area of interest and to become actively involved with academic research and relevant theoretical discourses. The thesis informs themes the designers are keen to explore in their design practice. The designers are required to discuss their creative practice within a wider cultural, historical, social, and political context and to analyze key theme(s) of their design philosophy through a critical and theoretical lens.
