Being keen to undertake and implement artistic research in this PhD programme not only in the contents but also in the formats, another experience based experimental discourse format is introduced for the upcoming session.

The Internal Colloquium in SS2021 will be held online via ZOOM. Overall, we offer a new form of discourse in subgroups online. This is based on (A) individual presentations (preproduced and previewed by all participants), (B) a particular angle for reflecting on your work by colleagues from the group (C) reflective exchange according to a structural term offered as discourse trigger. The reason for the detailed three-part structure is to avoid long online sessions and to maintain the discursive structure of the Internal Colloquium.

The following framework conditions have been identified:

BEFORE the INTERNAL COLLOQUIUM:

1. Step ONE: Like in previous online meetings, we kindly ask you before the online meeting to record a 10-15 minute PRESENTATION of the current status of your research project on video. The form of this presentation can be fully decided by You, it only has to be the most adequate to Your actual state of research. In addition, research projects (and research questions) and preliminary findings are to be presented in brief form. This accompanying CONTEXT can also be added as a video (max. 5 min.) or in text form (max. 1000 characters).

To create the video, we recommend the open source software OBS (https://obsproject.com/de)[1], which can be used to record sections of your own desktop as well as material from any company-owned webcams. The videos will be accessible for viewing for all participants as soon as they are uploaded to the ownCloud folder by the doctoral candidate.

We kindly ask you to upload the material until 8 March.
