Social sciences comprise a number of academic disciplines that are interested in the relationship between individuals and societies. In this seminar, we‘ll discuss the ontological, epistemological and methodological approaches of social science in general. Subsequently, we will discuss key concepts and approaches in Sociology and Political Science.

Participation in 80% of the sessions is mandatory. You are expected to arrive prepared by having completed the assigned reading for the week. Grades are based on active participation in group-work and class discussion (30%), as well as short tests throughout the semester (70%).
