Fine Arts and Media Art, Digital Arts
2021S, artistic Seminar (SEK), 1.0 ECTS, 1.0 semester hours, course number S03699
Description
Performing & Composing Media
The seminar is practical and will focus on how to create time-based media composition.
We will create and use media systems as performative “instruments” to then explore and improvise their possibilities and limits.
We will select certain “moments” or “situations” created while improvising and dramaturgically organise them, experimenting with time composition.
We’ll use MAX (https://cycling74.com), participants will get a small library of modules, created ad hoc for the seminar, in order to spend less time programming and more time experimenting.
The seminar will probably take place in ZOOM (http://zoom.us). You’ll be informed about the meeting ID.
Students can register on the BASE or by sending an e-mail to stefano.dalessio@uni-ak.ac.at
Participants will be given access to the cloud folder of the seminar (URL via email), where they will be able to download all materials and media of the course.
