Description

Turning Points
Ethics is the philosophical foundation for a good life and asks what makes a good life. A key part of a good life is making the right decisions at the crucial moment. This requires on the one hand experience in dealing with such situations and on the other hand foresight to be able to estimate the consequences of their own trade. In this seminar, we examine the materiality and visuality of decision-making moments and turning points, both in social and personal contexts based on texts, films and artefacts.

Learning Objective
The seminar is intended to stimulate a critical examination of the role of decisions and moments of decision for social and personal life. Furthermore, the seminar is intended to practice the acquisition of relevant literature and the critical analysis of text and film material, as well as to learn methods of scientific work.
