The focus of the course is on dealing with the essence of drawing, the examination of formal pictorial design elements, the search for optical aids to describe the observed form, the use of the diversity of drawing techniques, the grasping of proportions and the representation of human form.

Examination Modalities

To take the exam, 20 tasks are required. Please label the sheets with : Name, matriculation number, period of origin (e.g.: WS 20/21)


Life drawing courses are offered 4 days a week in WS 20/21:


Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday


Start of the lessons:  Monday, 12.10.2020


2 teaching units (as a block) are offered, for which the admission time is fixed (the minimum distance must be maintained when entering):


*15:00 entrance + preparation


1st block: from 15:10-15:55




16:45-17:00 big break


*17:00 entrance + preparation


2nd block: from 17:10-17:55

After October 6th, the teachers will inform the students by e-mail or telephone of the acceptance of a work place in the life drawing room.


At the beginning of the semester (by 6 October 2020 at the latest) students are required to register for a specific day (MO/DI/MI/DO) and a fixed course unit (1st block or 2nd block). Students can also take two blocks if the number of registrations allows. However, here too, fixed times must be observed throughout the entire semester (example: registration for block 1 on Tuesday and for block 2 on Thursday).

The attendance of students is recorded by means of an attendance list. The numbered place and name are noted on it, and the attendance is confirmed by the student's own signature!


Hygiene measures for students:


Mouth-nose-protection when entering and visiting the place and when leaving the life drawing room! Disinfectant dispensers at the entrance and exit.


An information sheet on the current hygiene measures and safety regulations is available on site and is also handed out to the students.
