2020S, Vorlesungen (VO), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S20414

As we cannot use our well Audio- and MIDI- equiped Videostudio for learning how to score and dub Video and Shortfilm, I introduce here my alternative Programm for 2020S of this segment. It wants to serve as a sustainable base for understanding the impact of Music and Sound in TimeBased Imagery (Motion Picture) and to find and strengthen an personal assecc to that topic.
Though it seems to be an opposite direction, participants of this course will receive fundamental recognitions and can later apply them in their work with any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) of their Joyce.

Short audiofiles, having been composed in Logic will be provided by me. They trigger clear emotional impressions on listeners. The Students are asked to hear these Scores in concentrated attention with headphones, while walking or Jogging, or staying at home with opened or closed eyes. In a position, mainly affected by music, creative processes get activated, which trigger Imagery in our minds. Captured moments and upcoming Images while listening, should be visulized and fixed as photos, drawings, paintings or videoshots via Smartphone or similar private tools. Also lyrics or related  texts, reflecting the musical atmosphere are very welcome. For gluing both Parts, the music and the Images/Texts together, the students can use any video editing application of their joice.
In case of lacking editing-tools, there is a recommended Freeware with self-explanatory operation and manual, see

The app is working cross-platform (OS X, Windows, Linux).

This is not a substitute for any VideoEditing Course of the Videostudio! This course is on „Tonkomposition for Shortfilm and Video“ and not on video editing.
