Beschreibung
The focus of this seminar will be on learning a variety of techniques on how to transform the human voice with electronics. We will cover vocoders, ring modulators, delays, autotune, harmonizers and pitch shifters. A series of composition assignments will frame the class, each designed to demonstrate a special aspect of vocal processing. We will work together to ultimately create a Sound Collage featuring vocalizations of correspondences and writings of Else Lasker Schüler, newly translated by Malerei students to be presented as part of the Angewandte Festival.
