After a brief review of established methods for AI-based data analysis (computer vision, text analysis, speech recognition, generative algorithms), we will look into deployment of AI technologies (e.g., your desktop computer, your browser, your smartphone, embedded devices/microcontrollers).

In the accompanying exercises, you will have the choice to either critically investigate the use of AI technology in the real world (e.g., in Social Media platforms or medical diagnosis systems) or to find an application of AI in your CDC project and implement at least parts of it (with my help).

Students from other faculties or universities will be given a place on the course subject to room capacities.

• No absence without prior excuse!
• Submission/presentation of final results

Examinations for the course Applications of AI-technology for CDS students will be held as part of the finals of the CDC course on 10 or 12 June 2020. Topic, problem definition and approach will be developed within the course Applications of AI-technology and must be independently visible in the presentation.

As all courses in the summer term 2020 have to happen via Distant Learning, registered students will receive a Zoom link via email.
