The course, held in collaboration with American artist Cameron Jamie, deals with the significance of the printed (analogue) artist’s book and the questions involved. With the help of both current and historical examples, the diverse approaches will be discussed, and short exercises used to probe individual questions in more depth. Participants will be able to design and work out their own publications – from the initial idea, through the concept, to the finished product.

Please note: This course is part of the Skulptur und Raum curriculum. Students from other departments will be given a place subject to room capacities.

Presentation of the finished publication(s)

Cameron Jamie will not be able to come to Vienna - the collaborative workshop will be postponed.

Nevertheless, an alternative format of this course will happen online.
