Working with electronics, part 2: Expanding, modifying, hacking
This course is meant to provide a home for students needs in the realm of electronics. It will be a mix of input/presentations, hands on exercises, feedback rounds, discussions and project work.
Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas for projects they want to realize or improve. This can also be a projct started last semester. I will then adapt the course based on the students needs as much as possible.
Possible topics to be discussed and engage with include but are not limited to:
Turning things on/off automatically (Relays)
Making work interactive by using sensors (distance, sound, brightness, etc.)
Building your own hardware (MIDI) controller
Programming LEDs
Critical engineering
Participating in online project management tools.
Sharing development and progress online so students can learn from each others challenges.
Succesfully finding and ordering needed materials/components if needed.
If continuing a project from last semester:
Presentation of a significantly improved project (involving microcontrollers and/or electronics)
or
If starting a new project:
Presentation of a working prototype (involving microcontrollers and/or electronics)
Due to the current situation this course will be held online.
