Beschreibung

Audio/Visual spatial interaction

The seminar is going to be practical, and It’ll focus on how to create meaningful interactions between human body (audience and performer) and environmental audio / visual media.

To do that we’ll see how to use cameras (webcams/IR cameras/phone cameras) to perform movement detection to control, activate and trigger pre recorded audio-visual media.

We’ll use MAX (https://cycling74.com), participants will get a small library of modules, created ad hoc for the course, in order to spend as less time programming and more time experimenting.

We’ll see how to contextualise video and sound in space, how to deal with multichannel video and audio, using multiple monitor screens, video projectors and speakers.

If time permits we’ll see how to wirelessly network computers to sync, share and stream video and data between distant machines.
