2019W, künstlerisches Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 SemStd., LV-Nr. S02746

Beschreibung

In this seminar we are reviewing actual definitions of artistic research and take a closer look into the methods applied in the arts.

The theory and practice of artistic research are concerned with specific ways to approach art, science and epistemic things. Their goals are sometimes written fictitiously, presented in playful formats and made public in processes of exchange. The methods of artistic research comprise – in a structural coupling – contradictions, a joyful science and an associative memory dance. Such movements can be found in every feedback given among peers and tutors, in every research contribution delivered between free flow and academic compulsion and in every exhibition.

Prüfungsmodalitäten

Research strategies emerge from the arts, technologies and cultural cognitive techniques. Performative practice and installations as experimental systems are only steps that lead to the next level in ludic method research: to generate artistic artefacts as epistemic objects that enable a sustainable flow of discourse.

Corresponding to the Methoden Seminar und artistic research evening lectures on Ludic Method are provided as source of inspiration.
